Wireless Charging

Terms to Know
Wireless Charging

Power is delivered through a plugged-in pad, puck, or stand – just place the device on top. Pads have no built-in battery, so they can't store power.

Wireless Charging Power Bank

Charged wirelessly or wired, the built-in battery allows devices to be powered on-the-go.

FOD

Foreign Object Detection. A safety feature in wireless charging devices that stops power delivery if a foreign object is detected, preventing interference or overheating.

Qi Certification

A Wireless Power Consortium certification showing a device passed independent lab tests for safe, reliable, efficient, and interoperable charging.

Watts

This measure indicates the total energy output the charging device can provide at any time.

MagSafe

Apple’s magnetic wireless charging for iPhone 12 – 15. Built-in ring magnets auto-align accessories and enable up to 15W charging.

15W WIRELESS CHARGING provides faster charging speeds for compatible devices, minimizing downtime.

Power Banks

Terms to Know
mAh (Milliamp-Hour)

Measures the battery capacity of the power bank i.e. the size of the power bank battery.

Watts

This measure indicates the total energy output the charging device can provide at any time.

Standard Power Bank Output

5V/2A which equals 10 Watts; sufficient for charging most phones and smaller devices.

High Power Output

Power Banks 18W or higher. Laptops need a minimum of 50W output.

Speakers

Terms to Know
Playback Time

How long the audio item can play audio at max volume.

Watts

Measure of power output of a speaker and higher wattage generally means louder sound and better performance at higher volumes, enhancing overall audio quality.

IPX Rating

The IPX rating indicates how well a speaker resists water; the "X" means dust wasn't tested. Higher numbers mean more protection-IPX4 handles splashes, IPX5 resists water jets, and IPX7 allows brief submersion.
